On Tuesday I had the pleasure of delivering a progress briefing on how GDPR has affected data protection in the UK since it came into force in May. My session and the conference as a whole were well attended, and seem to be positively received by the schools' personnel in attendance.
It was great to be able to catch up with a number of former Birmingham City Council colleagues such as Julie Newbold and Seamus Cooney, as well as many people from the city's schools.
A big thank you to Helen Barnes and Georgina Hodgetts for inviting me and ensuring the event ran smoothly.
