The newly appointed Information Commissioner, Elizabeth Denham, gave a keynote speech at the National Association of Data Protection and Freedom of Information Officers (NADPO) Annual Conference on 21 November.
It makes interesting reading and can be found at:

It is interesting to see she is working closely with Dame Fiona Caldicott, reinforcing my long-held view that there should be greater awareness of the intrinsic links between the Data Protection principles and the Caldicott principles.
It is also good to see her talk and privacy and innovation, not privacy or innovation!
There is detailed reference to GDPR and I am receiving an increasing number of enquiries about this. I am already preparing material to assist clients and will be incorporating this aspect of Information Governance work into the subscription service I offer. Feel free to contact me if you want to know more.
