SAC _ BCC Schools Conference (23-10-18).

A wealth of experience and knowledge

Insight was formed in July 2016 by Steve Cullen to provide many of the services schools have wanted to receive but were no longer able to obtain from their local authority, and converted to limited company status in October 2018.  Steve has well over 30 years experience of working in the field of Data Protection and he has considerable knowledge of other key Information Governance disciplines including Freedom of Information, Information Security, Records Management, Business Continuity and Emergency Planning.  He also has extensive experience of Management Services disciplines such as ergonomics, business process redesign, change management, conflict resolution and workplace design. Having undertaken private contract work in the health, social care, education and charity sectors throughout his career his experience is by no means limited to the school environment.
To date he has worked with well over 150 schools, academies and trusts to ensure EU and UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 compliance, and offers a subscription service that includes advice and guidance, a documentation kit and an Information Governance health check.  He also provides "hands on" training for staff, centred on the issues that are most likely to lead to data breaches in a school environment.  Steve also delivers Birmingham City Council's Schools HR service's data protection training support for their clients.
Additionally, there was an increased demand for support in Business Continuity and Emergency Planning as the coronavirus pandemic unfolded, and with the challenges that have followed. Again, Steve can offer school-specific guidance to enable you to plan effectively in these uncertain times.
